one piece 814 chapter - I always took for granted that the Gorosei where just five Elders. But what if they are one for each Sea : four for the Blues, and one for the Grand Line ? In that case, it could be assumed that they would come from very powerful families, second only from the Celestial Dragons. For Grand Line, I guess the Nefertari are ruled out (and seriously, I want to know how the Celestial Dragons see this 20th Family which founded the World Government but refused to move to Marijoie... they probably despise them, but perhaps some of them respect them for their ancestors's role). So perhaps the Vinsmoke are an extremely powerful mafia family from North Blue which has achieved position to the Gorosei. It would explain both why the Family want Sanji to marry a pirate, and why he is still just wanted alive. It would also add to the current hypocrisy of the World Government, who supposedly hunt down pirates and bandits but would have had allowed a very powerful Family with a great deal of influence in the Underworld to become represented in one of the highest instance of the World Government. Probably because of some seriously needed service (and perhaps Jewelry Bonney is tied to the same kind of family than Sanji's, which would explain why Akainu was sent to retrieve her).

I'm also curious as to what Sanji said here, it seems Sanji's questioning why all of this is happening NOW. Which makes sense given the fact that his name along w/ the SH's was fairly famous before the time skip. So it wasn't about him remaining hidden from his family. I'm assuming Sanji thought that since the Vinesmoke's didn't make a move during that time that they were done with him. Which adds more fuel to the fire that the Vinesmoke family and BM are using Sanji and Purin as strategic pawns for an alliance of power because for whatever reason NOW is the right time to do this. Well it all happened so quickly that Nekomamushi didn't have any time to verify Capone's claim. And Nami and Brook couldn't explain the situation either. What matters is that Capone told that lie because if he didn't, Nekomamushi and the other minks would be after him. It's not just that he was warry of Nekomamushi, the other minks were close, and Capone simply doesn't want to face the minks since they're pretty strong. Plus he has a mission to accomplish and it would be bad for him if he engaged in a fight. So the best course is to just run. To me this shows that Capone is a rather logical guy, he knew what it would take to fulfill his mission, and he made sure not to engage in an unnecessary fight that he's not guaranteed to win. Also his talk about BM is pretty self explanatory, it shows how much BM is determined and that she's not to be messed with. So lying to her would only get someone into trouble, and frankly she reminds me so much of a godfather, or in this case a godmother.

The way Jugram didn't imply what he saw seemed like a hint because it wasn't until Uryu mentioned betrayel that Jugram immediately responded that he never commented on "what he saw" but "what he felt". However, as we see in the flashback, Ishida has long since decided that he will never be the "doctor" cutting apart someone he loves with cold, surgical precision. Will Ishida maintain his convictions and his loyalty to his friends, or will he crumble by following orders? In Jugo's current state, he is perfectly capable of killing anyone who says the slightest wrong word.

He knew that if he was defeated and lost his power in the process that Yamamoto would show him mercy which is why he lost on purpose. By losing it allowed him to go into hiding to restart the process or rather lie in slumber until he was ready, which would explain why his other Sternritters weren't involved in that first war, Jugram and Bazz B, but others like Hugo, and those other two were involved, the ones who ended up dying by Yamamoto's hands. When Uryu mentioned betrayel the "vision" or rather the variable of the future became clearer to Jugram, by only feeling "worry" he can't decipher what exactly that means, is that feeling of worry towards the shinigami, towards betrayel, towards having to fight Ichigo, so in Jugram's mind the future of those possibilities start to develop based on the emotion he feels from the target. If you think about Bazz B fighting Jugram, the reason that fight ended the way it did was because all Jugram saw was "hatred" and "Determination", Hatred towards Bach betraying the Stern Ritters left in Seretei and Determination to prove he was better than Jugram. Jugram. No matter what Jugram said or did all he could feel from Bazz B were those two emotions and regardless of how he tried to subside those feelings the only future it lead to was Jugram having to kill his friend Bazz B because nothing would prove to him that Jugram was better than him than if he died by his hands. That's my take on it at least, it would appear the power of The Almighty isn't as strong as it could be, it can see potential futures but it can't see the exact future and in Bach's case years ago he lost the war because it was the only future he saw in which he could survive to fight again, if he could in a way "fake" losing his powers only to rebuild and fight when they least expect it.

I expected more from Pekoms, but in his defense, he was incredibly emotional. I guess the ending of the previous chapter just made it seem like he would do a little more. Also, Nami is absolutely gorgeous in this chapter, as well as Nojiko on the cover page.

Capone was an animal, savagely shooting Pekoms. I always thought he was one of the more underwhelming supernovas, but this seems to have changed.

I am mostly interested in this Sanji plotline. Holy moly, I don't think many people predicted a wedding! I for sure didn't. My fear is that Oda will make this more comedy centered, which I really really don't want for Sanji at this point in the story. Yet, given how shocked Sanji was at the end of the chapter, it'll probably be a lot more serious, which is so great.

In terms of the last name pronunciation, I think "Vinsmoke" sounds a billion times better and more badass than "Vinsmock" so I'm gonna go with the first one. The weird thing is that it almost sounds like a mafia name rather than a royal one. Not gonna lie, if somehow Oda made Sanji a part of some famous mafia family....that would be so incredibly badass. But, we'll see. There's still a very good chance that he's just plain royalty, but I'm actually kind of hoping it's mafia related. Especially since Capone was the one to introduce the family in the story.

Ice always freezes the opponent (unless you are wearing something like West), if Toshiro used his insta freeze on Yhwach it would freeze him, he'd just easily get out. That's the same as Gerard, probably. His hand is frozen but he is going easily break the ice next chapter. Toshiro has most certainly got stronger though, I pegged him at around Starrk level post Cang Du (Vs Mayuri) fight but he might be significantly stronger then that. It would be cool if he used Hollowfied Ice as well, make him fitting in with the Vizards a lot better since he is the only one who's Bankai was stolen to literally hollowfy (mask and all). And yeah, I expect to see all the Vizard Bankais (including Shinji) here, it would be akin to Kensei/Rose Vs Mask though, we'd get exposition but it won't be chapters long per Bankai, just several pages. Shinji's Bankai might make the cliffhanger though given his status. Byakuya's Bankai (assuming he has not used it yet, which is likely) might be used against Gerard, but its a bad match-up since at its core its function is still just going to be to cut things up, it might be better suited for Haschwalth in an upcoming battle.

On another note, I said before that the RG probably won't make a battle appearance again. But given that Gerard is the heart of the SK and he is noselling everyone, I could actually see them coming here and sealing him. We could also get some SK exposition from them while they are at it.
