By losing it allowed him to go into hiding to restart the process or rather lie in slumber until he was ready, which would explain why his other Sternritters weren't involved in that first war, Jugram and Bazz B, but others like Hugo, and those other two were involved, the ones who ended up dying by Yamamoto's hands. When Uryu mentioned betrayel the "vision" or rather the variable of the future became clearer to Jugram, by only feeling "worry" he can't decipher what exactly that means, is that feeling of worry towards the shinigami, towards betrayel, towards having to fight Ichigo, so in Jugram's mind the future of those possibilities start to develop based on the emotion he feels from the target. That's my take on it at least, it would appear the power of The Almighty isn't as strong as it could be, it can see potential futures but it can't see the exact future and in Bach's case years ago he lost the war because it was the only future he saw in which he could survive to fight again, if he could in a way "fake" losing his powers only to rebuild and fight when they least expect it.
